Psychotherapy for children

Individual Psychotherapy is offered to help children cope with a variety of life challenges and mental health 

Most children under the age of 5 will be treated through parenting support and coaching and individual sessions in which the parent is present.

Parent Coaching and Support is available to parents needing help with child behavior management and mental health concerns.

CHM Therapy offers Teens and their parents solutions and therapy to address many common Teen issues.

Individual Psychotherapy is offered to help teens cope with a variety of life challenges and mental health.

Family sessions are also available for teens and their families. 

Psychotherapy for Adults 

Psychotherapy for adults and life coaching offers support for adults dealing with a variety of issues, including mental health, life transitions, chronic illness or chronic pain. Adults find sessions helpful in coping with interpersonal relationships and even career decisions. Some clients will seek therapy for personal growth and general wellbeing and self care. whatever your needs, we have a team who can help.

Please note that CHM Therapy does not currently offer couples/marriage counselling.

Family Therapy

The focus of Family therapy is usually relational, helping members to integrate themselves in a new way, to communicate in a new way and to change and grow together through all stages of life. Family therapy recognizes two vital elements; in families, some roles cannot change and in families, problems are not individual issues or the fault of any one person, but rather a factor of the interconnectedness of the individuals in the unit.
Family Therapy can be helpful for families who are struggling with blended family challenges; Step parenting; Parenting after divorce; Sibling and family relationships; and Reconnecting parents and teens.
Family Therapy can also include co-parenting session to help parents work together. 

Child Life Services

Certified Child Life Specialists help infants, children, youth and families cope with the stress and uncertainty of acute and chronic illness, injury, trauma, disability, loss and bereavement. They provide evidence-based, developmentally and psychologically appropriate interventions including therapeutic play, preparation for procedures, and education to reduce fear, anxiety, and pain.​

Special Needs

CHM Therapy offers parent coaching and support for parents of children with special needs.  Parents learn to identify challenges and teach skills by integrating the teaching into their everyday routines.

In some cases, OAP Funding can be used to provide psychotherapy supports, coaching for parents and direct services to children around life skills and self regulation.

Workshops, Speakers and Training

Our YouTube Channel - the Yellow Couch - provides bite-size clips of mental wellness strategies available to a global audience. check it out here. 

Workshops are available on-line, in person, or a hybrid version of both. Topics cover a wide range of relevant topics. We also offer training topics for professionals.

Online Services

CHM offers a variety of online services including online therapy, workshops, YouTube content, social media engagement.

Cogmed Working Memory Training is a 5 week online in home training program that works to improve working memory and executive functioning in individuals, including those with ADHD and other working memory impairments. More information can be found at here  or 

Supervision and consultation

We offer a limited number of internships each semester for those in psychotherapy programs. Candice is also available for case consultation, peer consultation and supervision for qualifying psychotherapists,
